UNEP – Food Waste Index Report 2024
The second version of the Food Waste Index Report released in March 2024 includes the result of a detailed investigation – we were involved in – about the amounts of food wasted and about organic waste generated in a large city of Brazil.
Globally about 1.05 billion tonne food worth 940 billion dollars which generates 8 to 10% GHG emissions, is wasted.
